It looked so perfect...and not so time consuming...I had panic attack the night before when the bakery supply was out of supply of rolled fondant and the red colour roses...time I didn't have to make from scratch....and luckily dear friend Shelly has all that I need in her stock...but then....the weather or what I was not sure...but the side of the cake decided to fall off...Gawd...and I have other things to attend to that morning...luckily hubby was around to take charge of that issue, so I began scraping it all down again...and started again...

it was delish...and we were very happy with the outcome...happy happy treat after a hardwork day for us last weekend for we had a little family gathering and tahlil for everyone in the family...especially two new family members that will join us in a few days to come...happy happy moments should be cherished with sweet delight like the above...

it is called steamed buttercream (SBC)...

i got the opportunity to learn how to prepare and cover a cake with steamed buttercream from the SBC sifu in Malaysia...kak liana. Thank you kak liana.

what to expect from a SBC covered cake?
smooth finishing, tasty and creamy but not too sweet BC...just superb.

a classic cake goes a long way...

the classic blackforest cake with a twist...the cherry fillings at times is replaced with strawberry or blueberry fillings according to request or just the season mood...and then topped with chocolate grate...hmmmmmm i little bite goes a long way peeps...
